Fred Streefland
With more than 27 years of experience within Security & Intelligence domain, Fred started his career as an Intelligence & security officer at the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) and Military Intelligence Service (MIVD). After 16 years of active duty, he joined IBM as a cyber security professional. After some years, he moved to Accenture and served as a senior manager security focusing on critical infrastructure security. As a result of this focus on ICS/SCADA, he became Director Education & Training at the European Networks for Cyber Security (ENCS). In 2014 he became the CISO of Exact Software. After this, he also fulfilled the role of Global IT Security Director (Group CISO) at LeaseWeb, a global hosting company. In 2017, he left LeaseWeb and started to work for Palo Alto Networks. Fred is currently working as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for North & East Europe. In this role, he is a thought leader/trusted advisor for governments and customers of Palo Alto Networks. Fred holds an Executive Master of Security & Defense (EMSD) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam. While working for Accenture, he passed the SABSA Security Architect course.
